h00b
Hi, my adsl is Brasil Telecom (From Brazil) and it's 800kbps down 300kbps up. My modem is the NEC-GS250S(greatspeed). All the doors are open, the firewall is disabled too. My connections in the tcpip.sys are habilited for 1000I tried to use BitComet and uTorret, both recieve the max velocity for me, but after a time downloading, the connection closes (but the modem lights keep on).. but the internet stop working. So I got to turn on the modem again.I've looked for information but I didn't find a solution. I guess that the problem is something "overloading" the modem with too many conections and it bugsLook at my uTorrent configuration, in the moment I was downloading 6 files at the same time. the internet is closing everytime.http://img168.imageshack.us/img168/1726/42733299fw7.jpghttp://img234.imageshack.us/img234/8311/43399673nd3.jpghttp://img168.imageshack.us/img168/1643/87341447lp9.jpghttp://img168.imageshack.us/img168/9396/73169101sn0.jpghttp://img168.imageshack.us/img168/7947/29763767si1.jpgI hope someone would gimme a tip to gelp me fix it, I dunno what to do anymore.PS: I tried change the tcpip.sys for 50 connections, and before 2 minutes my connection close, if i set the tcpip.sys to 1000, before 25 minutes the connection close.I tried change Global maximum number of connections to 150 and Maximum number of connected peers per torrent to 70.I tried change my upload to 10kb/s and my download to 70kb/s and keep losting connection.I tried disable DHT Network and keep losting connection.I tried change the max half open connection to 4 and keep losting connection.----------------------------------Color of the network status light in µTorrent's status bar (at the bottom of the µTorrent main window)GreenWhat the port checker from the Speed Guide writes19713What the Speed Guide shows your settings to be (press Ctrl+G in µTorrent)256kbps (But my internet is 300kbps for upload)Operating system installed (Windows XP, 2000, ME, 98, 95, NT? 5618
Well, you have already tried most things, as I can see, but try to change some stuff for a while and see how your connection behaves. Seems like your router/modem is really bad with too many connections.Lower global connection limit to 100 (or maybe even 50)Lower tcpip.sys to 50 (1000 is way too high)disable DHTLower your global upload speed to 25kB/sRestart µTorrent once you have set this and try it for a while, even though your connection keeps freezing. Also, have you read http://utorrent.com/faq.php#My.C2.B5Torrent_freezes_locks_up_sometimes_and_or_uses_100_CPU ?Even though this is not your problem, it never hurts to look into it. µtorrent-Guest
you run 6 torrents when your uploadline is only 300kilobits per second? No wonder that is fucks up!CRTL+G and choose xx/256k where does the values suggest 6 running torrents with such a speed?! h00b
I agree with you, but I have good download speed right ? If I put for download only 2 files I'm sure I won't download it with 80kb/s.Maybe I'm wrong but I think I should be capable to download all I want. Switeck
You're both right and wrong.BitTorrent is BASED on sharing (ie: uploading), however you can run more torrents than recommended and break compatibility with the BitTorrent protocol.I don't agree with the low max torrent limits that µTorrent's Speed Guide (CTRL+G) recommends as the absolute highest limits used, however I will say this:If EVERY upload slot you have active cannot (or even does not) reach at least 1 KiloBYTE/sec on average, then you're probably breaking compatibility with the BitTorrent protocol....and (if that's the case) ironically, you could probably download faster (even MUCH faster) with fewer torrents running.
