Shadouri
I have 7 connections running on an ADSL connection.I don't know if it's because of my location, but everytime I do the speed tests I end up with a top DL speed around 500~1000 kbps. But most of the time I just change the speed according to the amount of torrents I have and that seems to work fine as well. After simultaneously starting all seven torrents, the speed slowly climbed up to a max of 540 kbps, and after peaking for a while, it dropped, in a period of about a minute, down to around 25 kbps. It stayed at, and is continuing to run at, that speed for since two hours ago.I know this is probably not enough information to make a diagnosis, but I'm totally open to questions. I'd be really glad to find out just what this problem is.Thanks for hearing me out.
5618
What are your exact upload AND download speeds you get from your ISP? Are you talking in kilobytes or kilobits? (the way you put it you're talking in bits). How many upload slots do you have per torrent in preferences? What are your global upload and download limits set to? How many global maximum connections do you have set?I suspect you have way too many connections going with 7 torrents running and are spreading your upload bandwidth so thin all peers start snubbing you. Shadouri
That's kinda the point. I have no idea about the exact speed, cuz I'm using a wireless router, and I live in a foreign country. If you really do need it, I could spend a bit o time and get to the bottom of it. 8 upload slots per torrent.Global Upload 186Global Download 0Global Max Connections 750Thanks for the quick reply, BTW. Ultima
BAD settings. Run the Speed Guide properly. You're supposed to be testing your connection speed using dslreports.com (the top button in the Speed Guide) and selecting the proper upload rate. Shadouri
^_^" Yeah, I did the tests before.Just lowered the settings. Are the results supposed to be immediate? Cuz it didn't seem to do anything when I tried last time.
Switeck
Well, Speed Guide bases µTorrent's settings off your >*UPLOAD*< bandwidth, NOT your download!
