chaosblade
Do you have preallocate turned on ? It should be off for that.Otherwise it shouldnt create those skipped files and will instead use the partfile to store pieces involving the skipped files. SailorMax
I don't understand for what it must create empty files for not needed files? Yes I need preallocate, but preallocate for needed files! not for all in torrent.
Firon
You can't use the two in conjunction. Simple as that.

Kronos
I have the same problem. T_TI turn on preallocate to prevent fragmentand reserve space before d/l.But in uTorrent can't use this feature whenyou want to d/l only some files in torrent.Hope this will fix soon. Now I use bitcomet for main d/l, and utorrentfor some files to maintain ratio. Firon
You don't have to turn on pre-allocate to prevent fragmentation, µTorrent allocates the full file when it downloads a piece of it. It's quite similar to pre-allocate, except it only allocates the full file when it downloads some data of the file. You get the same effect, except without losing all the space.
