ettpok Posted July 12, 2007 Report Posted July 12, 2007 There are some strings, mostly related to log and updating, that cannot be translated...for example:NOTE: Settings file found in directory of executable; using that. There is no new version available at this time! There is no new translation available at this time!I hope you could make these also translateable in the next builds...
Firon Posted July 13, 2007 Report Posted July 13, 2007 Not possible to do so for any of these 3 at the moment. The first is done before it even loads the language file, and the last two come from the server. But the last two can probably be dealt with for 1.8, or something.
Ultima Posted July 13, 2007 Report Posted July 13, 2007 When µTorrent is loading its interface, it already should be loading the language file to actually fill the interface with the strings, no? If so, µTorrent should be able to do the first one.
Firon Posted July 13, 2007 Report Posted July 13, 2007 I think that's a logger message even before the UI is really loaded.
Ultima Posted July 13, 2007 Report Posted July 13, 2007 Oh. Maybe µTorrent should load the language file before that, or have µTorrent push it into the Logger later (though I can imagine that being annoying to do)
Liandri Posted July 13, 2007 Report Posted July 13, 2007 Also, following strings can't be loaded from language file:- Remove And- Force Re-Check- Update Tracker- PropertiesI think there may be more of them. Thanks to Mattux for confirming this. I hope it won't be long before it wil be fixed...
ettpok Posted July 13, 2007 Author Report Posted July 13, 2007 Liandri: That's just language pack related issue... language pack was compiled same time as the latest version was released so we translators had no time to update our translations for it. They'll just need to recompile the pack some day...
Firon Posted July 13, 2007 Report Posted July 13, 2007 I'm giving the translators a few days before remaking the pack.
Liandri Posted July 14, 2007 Report Posted July 14, 2007 I created my own pack with my language with translating original English file. Still it doesn't work... Or do you mean you fixed it in latest build?ADDED: Nope... i checked 1.7.1 and i'm pretty sure that these strings are being overrided by program itself, and editing the language pack won't help here.
Firon Posted July 14, 2007 Report Posted July 14, 2007 I mean utorrent.lng available on the download page (which must be placed in %APpData%\uTorrent or wherever the .dat files are)
Liandri Posted July 14, 2007 Report Posted July 14, 2007 Yes, i downloaded it, did a translation of english.txt, and renamed to Russian!ru.txt. I got the whole program translated but mentioned strings are still in english(maybe there are more, i didn't look too much for them). I tried even adding new lines to Russian!ru.txt - didn't worked. You can switch to any language (no matter how much you will edit txt-s inside utorrent.lng) and see yourself that it wouldn't work for mentioned strings.
Liandri Posted July 14, 2007 Report Posted July 14, 2007 Then is there any way to fix it with editing utorrent.lng? Sorry but i didn't find one...
