nd4ever Posted July 12, 2007 Report Posted July 12, 2007 I'm have this problem where uTorrent will download more than the size of my torrent file. I tried both v1.6.1 and 1.7 r6. When I download a torrent and select ONLY a 5 kb .txt file thats inside the torrent, utorrent will download 804 kb before the .txt has been download. I checked the wasted and thats only 24 kb. I even tried peerguardian thinking that it was corrupt data that was being redownloaded but no luck but when I do the same thing in Azureus v2.5.0.4 it downloads just the .txt file in seconds with no over downloading.Any suggestions???

nd4ever Posted July 12, 2007 Author Report Posted July 12, 2007 the size is 399 mb but there are two file a .rar thats 399mb and a .txt thats 5 kbi get this problem with all torrent files for some reason utorrent downloads more data than its supposed to
5618 Posted July 12, 2007 Report Posted July 12, 2007 That is not the piece size. Check the bottom of the General tab when having the torrent in question selected.
