3humpcamel
I was hoping someone could help me, I tried looking through the forum for answers, but didn't really find one on this subject.I have had utorrent 1.6 for for sometime now and everything worked fine, until I recently started using it with private trackers. Currently, public trackers download/seed fine. However, its the private ones that are the issue. I have no problems dowloading the torrent, however, when it comes time to seed, there has been no activity (I left utorrent on for 3 days straight).I tried port fowarding to a different port, and utorrent confirms the forwarding correctly even though there is that yellow exclaimation saying "no incoming connection". I checked my router (2700HG-D) firewall settings and followed the step-by-step from portforward.com, but still no luck. Please help. Thanks. Also, I have configured windows xp firewall to allow for utorrent, and even tried disabling it. I also have McAfee Antivirus....not sure if this information is needed. Ultima
Could be that the private swarms are heavily overseeded, so you might have a more difficult time finding any peers that "need" your data.
3humpcamel
Is there a way to verify this by looking at the transfer stats? The 3 torrents I downloaded are relatively new torrents and pretty popular. I'm reluctant to try and download another torrent because I don't want to screw up my ratio even more. Ultima
What are the seed and peer counts on those torrents?

Ultima
And there you have it: the torrents are heavily overseeded. There isn't much you can do about it.
