algo
Hi all, I have using utorrent for a long time now, it has never give me major problems. Except for today. Staring utorrent is causing the process named "system" to be at 100%. If I close utorrent system goes to 0% if I start it again it goes back to 100%.Any ideas of how to fix it?I'm running XP sp2 with all the updates, and the latest version of utorrent (the one after the "beta 2")Thanks

algo
Device 0:I'm not running utorrent now, I don't know what influence it has over this settings, but currently they are:Device Type Auto DetectionTransfer Mode: DMA if AvaiableCurrent Transfer Mode: Ultra DMA Mode 2Device 1:Device Type Auto DetectionTransfer Mode: DMA if AvaiableCurrent Transfer Mode: Multi-Word DMA Mode 2AS for NOD32 I've disabled imon - although i've always have it on with no problems before. I'll test utorrent in a few time and post back the resuit. Also, I don't know if it as anything to do with this, but before I leave home I turned off the computer using the option to install windows updates and then shutdown. When I got home the computer was on, like if it had restarted, my mom told me noone had been near the computer while i was gone. I don't know why he rebooted instead of just shuting down, but after this utorrent start giving this problem.
Ultima
What do you have net.max_halfopen set to? Have you ever patched TCPIP.sys? If so, what did you patch it to?
algo
I've disable imon with no results, also have done a system restore to a time before the updates a the problem persistsWhat do you have net.max_halfopen set to?I've never changed the advanced settings so it's on defaultHave you ever patched TCPIP.sys? If you are talking about the 10 connections limitation I rembemer downlaoding a dos utility, i think it was the only that existed at the time. I don't remember if I actually installed it.But why would this cause me problems only now?EDIT:I've noticed seven *.dmp files in utorrent folder, has this anything to do with the problem?EDIT2:This is strange, but as it seems I have to wait almost 22 minutes until utorrent finishes whatever it is doing and stops using 100% of cpu.Now the computer is fine, and task manager is showing:utorrent.exe cputime: 10:48system cputime: 10:56As it seems I don't have a problem after all, maybe utorrent was checking the torrents? Anyways thanks for everybody help and time =)Patience is a virtue after all, guess utorrent was trying to teach me that
