Snowknight26
I happen to look at my peer list for a certain file and I see a peer named Snowknight26-PC which happens to be my computer's name, but the IP isn't even remotely close to my IP (Vietnamese IP). Seems to have happed after I added a range of IPs into ipfilter.dat, though it still persists even after I change ipfilter.enable to false. Restarted µTorrent, still happens. Possibly spoofing their hostname to %COMPUTERNAME%?http://www.stfcc.org/misc/utorrenthostname.jpg
Firon
This isn't µTorrent's doing. All it does is a reverse DNS lookup on the IP.
Snowknight26
Using the DNS server specified in my TCP/IP settings?
Ultima
Nope. The DNS server goes the other way -- from domain to IP. The reverse DNS lookup is provided by some other service.
Snowknight26
Mind mentioning that service?
