Portforwarding Nightmare

hi

I have recently installed a wireless modem / router

it is a Belkin F5D9630-4 G+MIMO

my download speed is anything from 0.4kbs to 5kbps i have not successfully downloaded anything since installing it

i have followed the setup instruction word for word but when testing i get the msg that the port is not open, i have tried changing the ports and now using 60000.

dht 264 nodes whatever that is ! the icon on the bottom of the download page is mostly a red circle but occasionally a yellow triangle

any help will be very welcome
