peer and seed problem

My brother and me are downloading the exact same program. Whenever I leave my comp on and he turns his off and he falls behind. He just cathes right back up in about 5 minutes. Normaly its 20kb/ps but when he gets on and shes behind my upload speed and her download speed goes to 980kb/ps. But when he catches up it goes back to normal speed.

Are you using µTorrent 1.7.x? If so, then that's probably local peer unlimiting at work. At any rate, this kind of behavior is normal, as it's easier to catch up with common pieces than it is to get the missing pieces.
