ausceo Posted November 20, 2005 Report Posted November 20, 2005 Hello.I am using µTorrent 1.2.1 Beta (build 335). When I right click on one of the torrents I am seeding and choose Remove And -> Delete .torrent, the .torrent file does not get deleted.Just thought I'd let you know (not sure if someone has informed you of this issue already, and if so, I'm sorry)
Animorc Posted November 20, 2005 Report Posted November 20, 2005 The .torrent is deleted, but not from the folder you saved it into. µTorrent copies all .torrent-files to %appdata%\utorrent and the files are removed from that folder if you select Remove and Delete Torrent.btw, this has been discussed many many times. Please search. It's way faster than posting a thread.
mark84 Posted November 24, 2005 Report Posted November 24, 2005 Then we need a tick box option or something so it deletes the source .torrent file as well.
1c3d0g Posted November 24, 2005 Report Posted November 24, 2005 How would µTorrent know where you stored the "source" .torrent file? It's not like µTorrent can just automagically guess where it is... :|
tjobo Posted November 24, 2005 Report Posted November 24, 2005 Default is C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/%username%/Application%20Data/uTorrent/
DutchDude Posted November 24, 2005 Report Posted November 24, 2005 How about moving the .torrent file instead of copying it (by default) ?
splintax Posted November 25, 2005 Report Posted November 25, 2005 How would µTorrent know where you stored the "source" .torrent file? It's not like µTorrent can just automagically guess where it is... :|Well, how else does it copy the .torrent in the first place? It clearly has to know where the torrent is to start with to do that. How about moving the .torrent file instead of copying it (by default) ?This is a good idea in my opinion.
chaosblade Posted November 25, 2005 Report Posted November 25, 2005 uTorrent needs a copy in order to maintain the list. What if that torrent was in the browser cache when it was loaded ? Who knows when it will be removed and uTorrent might lose that task from the list.
