Portforwarding problem (no internet connection possible)

Hello,

I have an annoying problem. When I try to forward the uTorrent port to my router the internet conncetion fails when I switch from a dynamic to a static IP adress. I followed the guidelines at www.portforward.com

I also tried the ping my IP adesses: the internal and external IP adresses can be pinged, but not the static IP adresses which are suggested in

http://www.portforward.com/help/portforwarding.htm

So what is wrong here?

How is your network set up?

If the external IP is a dynamic one, then it must be left dynamic, but when the internal IP adress is changed from a dynamic to a static, windows must also update the ip-adress if it is different from the dynamic one that you have.

So yet again, how is your network set up and what hardware do you have in it?
