Added On date is the same for all torrents..

i am using version 1.6.1 and 1.7.2 testing each one and now all of my torrents have the same "Added On:" timestamp and no "Completed On:" timestamp. the 'added on' date for each torrent is, 12/31/1969 8:00:00 PM.

if i seed a completed torrent, the 'completed on' date is now the current date. i have a resume.dat.old, but using it results in the same thing. i have another resume.dat.old which is months old, but it only has a few torrents.

what happened here? how can i fix it or edit the resume.dat so i can put the correct dates in?

That happens to be the beginning of Unix time. You can edit resume.dat, but you need to know how bencoding works, and you'll probably need to edit using a hex editor. How? IINM, you need to input the Unix time for the added date/time for the added_on key in the corresponding dictionary for your torrent jobs in resume.dat.

thanks. i figured it out. but its too much of a hassle to convert every torrent so i'll just leave it.
