JethroUK
I read in the help file that you can block I.P.s using ipfilter.dat and that this can be loaded with a right-click option from the PEERS menu1/ I don't seem to have that option in my right-click menu?2/ Wouldn't it be easier to right-click 'block I.P'? (rather than manually editing some text file)
Invy
enable ipfilter.dat (read the faq)and I think people would abuse the hell out of it if it was as simple as just rightclicking like in azureus. I dunno.

Invy
any reason to not upgrade to 1.7.2?
Firon
Unless you're a paranoid fool, there's no reason not to upgrade.
Invy
Jethro, I was just thinking of something... do you have "hide extensions for known file types" unchecked?Go to My Computer > Tools > Folder Options > click the View tab and scroll down a bit. You can change the option there.I was thinking maybe you had that box checked, so whenever you try to put a .dat extension, it wasn't actually changing the file type, but rather, it was just renaming your txt file to ipfilter.dat (.dat as part of the filename)
