evissecer
Hey everyone, I'm usually not one to post on forums as I try to figure things out on my own, but this one seems intractable currently. So I'm running utorrent 1.7 with wine 0.9.39 on Fedora 7. It's not as aesthetically pleasing as 1.6, but it still works wonderfully. My one problem is that I cannot get a port blocker working (MoBlock is in an abysmally stagnant stage of production). Thus, I was looking at the built in port blocking function. The problem is, it requires the file to be placed, as you know, in %AppData%\uTorrent. Unfortunately, I don't believe I can do something like this with my system.Ultimately, what I'm asking is that the ipfilter.enable function also search in the same directory in which utorrent.exe is stored. I feel this would also make using the program simpler for windows users, but that's just my biased opinion.I appreciate any help you can throw my way. Thanks all. Determination
it does if you have the other .dat files in the .exe directory. That's how I'm running it personally.
evissecer
Thanks for the help.Sorry for noobing on the board, I should have tried it first. Perhaps the FAQ should be updated to indicate this?
DreadWingKnight
Actually, wine emulates the %appdata% folder (or is at least capable of mapping it).I can't remember what the default path is right off.
Ultima
~/.wine/drive_c/windows/profiles/USERNAME/Applications Data/uTorrent, where USERNAME is your username on the operating system.
