Colborne_Greg Posted August 2, 2007 Report Posted August 2, 2007 it Took me forever to figure out what had happened, I just got a new harddrive and changed my file system. Then when I got Windows installed again and started using utorrent I got Error Access Denied, and none of the FAQ answers solved my problem. Then I right-clicked on the download and clicked open containing folder, and a error message popped up unable to find specified foler "D:\\Downloads\Some-Download.avi" I then realized that its because my documents folder the windows points to, is in the root of a partition "D:\" I solved the problem by changing the download folder.Thank you
Ultima Posted August 2, 2007 Report Posted August 2, 2007 Yeah, several people have mentioned this before... This might be the first actual bug report thread, though, so maybe now it'll get more exposure (a good thing).
mobysurf Posted August 3, 2007 Report Posted August 3, 2007 same thing was just happening to me. i'm new to the forum so please let me know if I should have posted this elsewhere.a real simple fix is to just set your preferences to a new downloads folder. then delete the torrent from uTorrent, and re-add it. should work fine as long as that is the only problem.
cnicog Posted August 5, 2007 Report Posted August 5, 2007 ROFL, this same thign happened to me... and I got it fixed after I read your post... this needs to be fixed.[17:53:13] Error opening "D:\\Downloads\QuickTime----":It should be "D:\" not "D:\\"
