working fine, then stops working

my utorrent has been working fine using port 53341 for about 2 days after i got it

it started working straight away after installing, so i didn't even bother to forward any ports, seeing how it worked so well.. even the port checker said the port was ok

then one day, the port stops working, then i decide that maybe i should forward my port afterall, but that still doesn't fix it

even made a static IP for my computer outside of the linksys dhcp range

any guidance? help? suggestions?

What modem are you using? Firewall?

Yeah a bit more info would help. I have a linksys too, so maybe I could help you out. I couldn't forward mine a day ago, got it forwarded just fine right now. So the more info you provide, the more it helps you..

i have speedstream 4100

router is linksys wrt54g firmware 4.21.1

but i just found out that if i reset my router, it works again

but after a day or two, it stops working and i'd have to reset it again
