Soviet Genius Posted August 3, 2007 Report Posted August 3, 2007 I am using a US Robotics USR8054 router. I am connected to it with a wire. I am running Vista Home Premium. I have a static IP. I have Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0. The port works without the router when I am connected directly to my modem. I followed the instructions to the word on portforward.com for my router, both for the port forwarding and the hardware firewall. My software firewall is set up properly because the port works when I try without the router. This happens with every file-sharing program I've tried (BitTorrent, Azureus, eMule...). It refuses to work. I have the latest firmware for my router. I have asked about this on 2 other forums and I didn't get any replies that helped.
The_Nephilim Posted August 3, 2007 Report Posted August 3, 2007 Hi, What port Are you using for uTorrent?? Is the Static IP Outside the Range of the DHCP?? Also try setting up a DMZ in your Router and see if that works.-The_Nephilim
Soviet Genius Posted August 4, 2007 Author Report Posted August 4, 2007 The static IP is the same as the one the DHCP gives me (192.168.123.100). There are other computers on the network which get 192.168.123.101, .102, .103, etc. The DMZ does nothing. The port I am using is 63820.
