Soviet Genius Posted August 3, 2007 Report Share Posted August 3, 2007 I am using a US Robotics USR8054 router. I am connected to it with a wire. I am running Vista Home Premium. I have a static IP. I have Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0. The port works without the router when I am connected directly to my modem. I followed the instructions to the word on portforward.com for my router, both for the port forwarding and the hardware firewall. My software firewall is set up properly because the port works when I try without the router. This happens with every file-sharing program I've tried (BitTorrent, Azureus, eMule...). It refuses to work. I have the latest firmware for my router. I have asked about this on 2 other forums and I didn't get any replies that helped. Soviet Genius Posted August 4, 2007 Author Report Share Posted August 4, 2007 The static IP is the same as the one the DHCP gives me (192.168.123.100).
