xvinx87
after updating from 1.1 to 1.2, utorrent keeps showin trachers that are actually online as offline.anybody know why?
Firon
Get 1.2.1 And the tracker is separate from the actual website you visit, by the way. They're not one and the same.
magnus33
Actually he's correct.More then a few trackers are shoung up as offline but work fine with say bitcomet or azureus.A minor problem but one with huge impact since alot of trackers aren't supported by utorrent yet. DutchDude
I have noticed the same problem here.... when i restart the client the first few seeding torrents go up fine... the rest simply says 'Tracker offline', even though data is exchanged (all torrents offcourse use the same tracker, and it is the only tracker). After a while all torrents will be up and running. I thought this was just a feature of the tracker-website i use. I think it has something to do with time-outs regarding the contacting of the tracker. Perhaps this should be slightly increased. But there may be also a little bug in the software somewhere.... z00z0
It is the same with me too. With 1.2 it was fine, since then with 1.2.1 beta3 and 1.2.1 final I get a lot of tracker offline errors (almost all of them - having 3-4 of them conected at the same time). The strange thing is i get the peer list, got connected to the peers, there is data up/down activity, but tracker still says offline.
1c3d0g
1.2.2 is out...maybe that will fix a few things...
Capped
I fear not.For me things got worse.Same problems but additionally uTorrent often freezes. It just sits in the tray and can't be opened.
1c3d0g
No man, then there's something that got b0rked on your PC. Delete all the .DAT files in %AppData%\uTorrent and restart µTorrent.
splintax
Hmm. Can you confirm that there are no tracker-side issues with µT (eg. banning)?
z00z0
It seems to better with 1.2.2.
magnus33
doubt its banning it too wide spread.
fruitloops101
I got round this by removing the torrent from uTorrent (but not deleting it!) and then close uTorrent, restart it; then reload the .torrent file. Worked for me. v 1.2.
NoFreeLunch
Thanks 1c3d0g & fruitloops101, I too was having problems with v1.3 & the seeing tracker offline problem. I did what both you said and it fixed the problem promptly.
