Gladys_Pym Posted August 4, 2007 Report Posted August 4, 2007 I uploaded 2 torrents, and have been seeding them exer since - about 2 months. Both are still active, and actively used, and I'd like to keep them up.BUTI need to change machines.Obviously, I can move the files from one PC to the others, and their torrent files, but how do I get the various trackers to pick them up on the new machine. If I try what seems the obvious, (move the files, and torrents, and load the torrents), I start downloading them all over again - happy to do this, but a bit of a waste of time....I'm unwilling to re-upload the torrents, as I'm personally pissed off with the number of dead torrents out there.Any ideas? Thanks.
nos_slived Posted August 4, 2007 Report Posted August 4, 2007 If the files are in the torrent directory, it will recheck the files, not download them.
Switeck Posted August 4, 2007 Report Posted August 4, 2007 If you point the .torrent file to the current location of the files and do a FORCE RECHECK, µTorrent should recognize you have 100% of the file/s and won't download the torrent again.
