joppe Posted November 23, 2005 Report Posted November 23, 2005 I dont know if the osx version is soon ready, or if you havnt even started with it.I just want to share my idea (sort of request ^^).It would be freaking great if you could make it like a widget, like bitsitcks. It runs on btdownloadcurses.py but they seems to have stopped the development on that :/The result would be to just start to drag the torrentlink from your browser, press F12, drag the link to the widget, and thats it! And like all widget you press on alittle "i" or similar to set the settings. Nothing bloated in the dock, just a widget. What do you guys think?
chaosblade Posted November 24, 2005 Report Posted November 24, 2005 No OSX version of uTorrent anymore.
1c3d0g Posted November 25, 2005 Report Posted November 25, 2005 At least, not directly. Vurlix is working on another client (similar to µTorrent I presume)...in the mean time you can use Transmission which appears to have a similar goal as µTorrent, or refer to Wikipedia's list of BitTorrent clients or their comparison list (which has more clients listed) for more Mac clients.
wiggo Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 A Linux and OSX version is planned for uTorrent. I believe the porting preparation will begin pretty soon.
Ultima Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 I don't join the IRC channel, so I'm not 100% on the latest news, but from the forum posts I've read, didn't vurlix discontinue his port of µTorrent to OS X, as chaos said above?
Firon Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 He discontinued it, but it doesn't mean that it won't happen by ludde or someone else
