banned1
Going to smash this thing soonDownloading well seeded torrent with lots of leechers.Utorrent reports all is well with a big green tick, however when i run the port checker it says port XXXXX is not open. Ports are forwarded. upnp is enabled.my download speeds are blistering as i would expect however my upload is chuggy as all hell. like 0.1kB/sMy Router/Modem is a Lynksys WAG54G V.2So far i have:opened portsenabled upnpdisabled pnpDownloaded a torrent, fast for about 1/3 then slowed my download to increase upload. Disabled Firewall (router)Whats left? Thanks in advance
Switeck
Doesn't sound ok to me...Have you run Speed Guide (CTRL+G) and set µTorrent based on your max sustainable UPLOAD rate?Did you try Ultima's troubleshooting guide?:http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=15992Any clues on the internet that your ISP may be throttling BitTorrent in any way?(GOOGLE searches are good for this! ...and try searching the forums here too!) banned1
"Have you run Speed Guide (CTRL+G) and set µTorrent based on your max sustainable UPLOAD rate?"Indeed. All is tickity boo there"Did you try Ultima's troubleshooting guide?:http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=15992\"I have tried some of the steps in this useful guide but not all. I will go back and work my way through it."Any clues on the internet that your ISP may be throttling BitTorrent in any way?"No my ISP doesnt throttle Bittorrent which is one reason i went with them. First question i asked in fact. Thanks for your speedy response i do appreciate it, i will do some more of those steps described before i repost the outcome. My main problem is the seeding of torrents just so darn slow. Everything else seems ok 'cept the "port xxxxx is not open" when i run port checker
Switeck
I'd like to believe you set everything up correctly, but seeing as you ARE having problems...can you post your settings? Also include the measured speed of your connection both up and down. banned1
have tried everything suggested now.Nothin makes a difference. It seems that the ip that the torrent checker is identifying is different to the ip that has the ports forwarded. Utorrent however continues to show me a green tick when i am downloading. Its all wierd to me'My Settings are as followsUpload rate 60kB/sDownload rate 157kB/sUpnp port mappin enabledGlobal connections 150Connected peers per torrent 150Slots per torrent 5DHT and Peer exchange Disabled
Switeck
It seems you're overloading the upload speed of your connection....This I am reasonably sure about even WITHOUT you telling me how fast your connection is.And that's because your ip seems to be somewhere in Australia, which is known for slow broadband.
