McRose Posted August 6, 2007 Report Posted August 6, 2007 hi allwell, I re-installed my windows and put back all torrent directory as before, but...I lost the ratio, so my downloads are lowest as the very first day is there a way to config utorrent to store this info to a specific folder ?
slipstream Posted August 6, 2007 Report Posted August 6, 2007 What is exactly "all torrent directory"? %APPDATA%\utorrent\ ?
McRose Posted August 6, 2007 Author Report Posted August 6, 2007 nopfor exampleC: (operative system)D: (data)E: (downloads)E:\McRose\Downloads\uTorrentwhereE:\McRose\Downloads\uTorrent\downloadingE:\McRose\Downloads\uTorrent\completethat is my directory where I put "all torrent" filesbut the cache and (maybe) the ratio info are stored inC:\Documents and Settings\McRose\Application Data\uTorrentthat folder is the one I want to move to:E:\McRose\Downloads\uTorrent\info (or whatever instead of "info")
slipstream Posted August 6, 2007 Report Posted August 6, 2007 but the cache and (maybe) the ratio info are stored inC:\Documents and Settings\McRose\Application Data\uTorrentRatio is calculated from uploaded/downloaded stats, and they are yep - stored in %APPDATA%\utorrent\resume.dat. AFAIK there is no way to force utorrent to store/read config from a specific folder. It would only use either %APPDATA%\utorrent or same folder as utorrent.exe.
Invy Posted August 7, 2007 Report Posted August 7, 2007 I wish there was a way to make utorrent completely portable. meaning I could put utorrent in any directory on my hard drives and everything will stay error free (no 'file is missing' error or 'torrent file missing' or anything else like that.)
Ryan Norton Posted August 7, 2007 Report Posted August 7, 2007 Yeah, the portability thing is a major drive I am trying to do for 1.8. It is kind of bloaty to do correctly though and if you get it wrong you could run into relative path security issues...
