dfire Posted August 7, 2007 Report Posted August 7, 2007 This happens when I go to start a new torrent download:I search for a file I choose one form the list I click "Download. torrent" Then in the popup window I click "open"Instead of adding the new torrent to the my list I get this error:"Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."This just started 2 days ago, the torrents that are still in my list are downloading/ uploading fine, I just can't add new downloads all of a sudden.Any help would be outstanding!!EDIT:If I click save first, then use the file which gets created, it will load in to the list, and download
nos_slived Posted August 7, 2007 Report Posted August 7, 2007 What browser are you using, and what changes have you made to it since the problem aroused.
dfire Posted August 7, 2007 Author Report Posted August 7, 2007 Internet Explorer 7(I think its 7 it is the latest version with tabbed browsing).Nothing other than the usual updates for my crap removal programs:SpywareTerminator, AVG 7.5, PG2, ZoneAlarm suite, Ad-aware SEI run daily maintenance tasks too:defrag registry, scans with winASO and Eusing, HDD defrag, AVG full scan, Ad-aware full scan.Been doing the same thing for the past 5 mos, no setting have been changed.Zone says it has blocked 12,000+/- access atempts since this started(around 10-20 new attempts per min), and has crashed about four times claiming a memory access error.
