HKS24zero Posted August 8, 2007 Report Posted August 8, 2007 Hello all,I recently had to upgrade to a new system. Unfortunately it has VISTA. On my old system with XP I had added a router so that I could connect my xBox. I went through the process of port forwarding and everything worked properly. Now with the new PC I can not get uT to connect. I have assigned the PC to the same internal IP as the old PC (192.168.1.136). I have made the exception (as far as I know) in the firewall for both uT and the port. When I run a speed test the error message that I get is:port 4514 does not appear to be open on 65.x.x.x (65.x.x.x being my static ip).Could someone offer me some suggestions?ThanksJamie
funchords Posted August 8, 2007 Report Posted August 8, 2007 It sounds like you did all the right things.Reboot everything, including the router (unplug power for 15 seconds). Then confirm that the Vista PC still has the right IP address after the reboot, and try again.
