pugtm Posted August 8, 2007 Report Posted August 8, 2007 Yeah like the title says i get loads of seeds and peers but they dont connect when i have few torrents downloading at one time. I know because with 2 the max it downloads at is anywhere from 0-30 kb per second. right now i have 8 going and its going at around 90 Kb per second and the most ive ever gotten it to was around 200kb per second with 10.So whats up why is it downloading so slowly with so few?
funchords Posted August 8, 2007 Report Posted August 8, 2007 Because you are in torrents with poor peers. Try this one: OpenOffice.org 2.2.1 Win32 English (No JRE)http://www.torrentportal.com/details/1298590/IMG/?ref=679061
Switeck Posted August 9, 2007 Report Posted August 9, 2007 Either that, or you have horribly wrong settings for your connection.Did you do speed tests of your internet connection and set µTorrent's Speed Guide (CTRL+G) based on your sustainable upload speed?
pugtm Posted August 9, 2007 Author Report Posted August 9, 2007 no i didn't ill do that. also i have another problem every time i quit bittorent it starts to recheck and at a really slow rate. It will take hours to recheck all 8 torrent at the current rate about 6 hours if not more so ill lose a quarter of a day. also it starts to take huge amounts of cpu sometimes for no apparent reason.
Switeck Posted August 9, 2007 Report Posted August 9, 2007 CORRECTION!If µTorrent does an automatic recheck every time µTorrent restarts, there's probably something wrong on your computer...such as ram or hdd going bad. Or just viruses/trojans. ...or file indexers holding open key files that µTorrent tries access.
pugtm Posted August 9, 2007 Author Report Posted August 9, 2007 i don't force rechecks they just start on their own.
