jojo Posted August 9, 2007 Author Report Posted August 9, 2007 i read stickies and solve problem.. thank you..
Pisklink Posted August 30, 2007 Report Posted August 30, 2007 I have the same problem. I'm not able to surf the web with IE while running uTorrent v1.7.2. I read the stickies without finding the answer. At first I thought it was a router problem so I looked up the version number of the Linksys WRT54G which seems to be v5 or corresponding serial starting with CDFB with firmware version 1.00.1. Bassiouni posted each serial with corresponding version number but behind v5 he adds "(VxWork)". What does that mean?In addition, my settings in the speed guide are:- Upload limit: 120 kB/s- Connections: 90- Max active torrents: 5- Upload slots: 4- Connections (global): 200- Max active downloads: 5I disabled uPnP because I'm using a static network configuration which worked flawlessly with uTorrent versions before v1.7.2. My internet connection specs are: DL 1000 kB/s and UL 160 kB/s.Btw with most torrents in v1.7.2 I get the following message at the "tracker status" information bar (translated from dutch to english): "Cannot connect because host computer actively refused connection". While the network status indicator is green.
Firon Posted August 31, 2007 Report Posted August 31, 2007 http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=15992#p258231And that error means that either a firewall is blocking things, or that particular tracker is down (likely the latter if your network status is green).
Pisklink Posted August 31, 2007 Report Posted August 31, 2007 K, thx for the link. I have to agree that's the only thing I didn't try yet because I was affraid I would forget the default settings. I'm leaving this weekend but I will give it a try when I'm back and will post the results here. Btw I also updated my Linksys firmware to version 1.02.2 resulting in a bit higher download speeds but I'm still not able to surf the web simultanuously.
