uTorrent not opening

I have been running uTorrent version 1.4.2 beta build 428 flawlessly for some months now. I just got back from an extended trip and when I opened up uTorrent, it prompted me to upgrade to the new 1.7.2 build, which I did. Everything ran fine until I closed the program out.

Now, when I try to open it, nothing happens. Nothing that I can see opens, and nothing resembling uTorrent is displayed in the Task Manager. I redownloaded the 1.7.2 installer file, but even that will not open.

Anyone encounter anything like this or have any clue what to do?

Yeah, rebooting was my first instinct. No change.

Okay, "installer" is not the right word. I honestly can not remember if, after uTorrent prompted me to upgrade, it downloaded/ran the upgrade itself, or if I downloaded from this site and ran it manually. Either way, I didn't get it from a third-party site.
