sam2539 Posted August 17, 2007 Report Posted August 17, 2007 I am having trouble setting up my Port Forwarding and I would really appreciate it if someone could help me.I have set my port at 54000 and then went through the port forward process and when I go to "Canyouseeme" it shows up with a message as listed below:Error: I could not see your service on 220.233.**.*** on port (54000)Reason: Connection timed out.I have tried both Protocols in Port Forwarding, that is TCP and UDP also both and I do not seem to be getting anywhere. So any help would be really appreciated.sam2539

sam2539 Posted August 17, 2007 Author Report Posted August 17, 2007 I have looked at a lot of other posts as you suggested, but unfortunately I am still having the same problem. I have opened the port in my Firewall as well (Sygate)
The_Nephilim Posted August 17, 2007 Report Posted August 17, 2007 Hi, What is the Make and Model of your Router & Modem?? Do you have the Windows Firewall On If so you do Not need it as you have the Sygate one so Turn the Windows one Off.The_Nephilim
sam2539 Posted August 17, 2007 Author Report Posted August 17, 2007 I have changed the Listen Port from 64248 to 54000 and made the necessary changes in my modem and firewall. What I am not sure about is whether I need to select "TCP" or "UDP" or both when setting up the port forwarding. My Modem/Router is a D-Link DSL-504T and I have disabled the Windows Firewall. I have my fingers crossed as at the moment it appears to be working this is a message from "Canyouseeme" Success: I can see your service on 220.233.**.*** on port (54000)Your ISP is not blocking port 54000So thanks to all that have made suggestionssam2539
