macoute
I back up my uTorrent restore.dat file at least twice a day.Whenever my system crashes (please, no replies about why, or fix it solutions) and the restore.dat file is stuffed I just use an old one. This seems to work well (much better than reloading all my torrents and manually rechecking them just in case uTorrent decides to zero everything!)I'm just wondering though if doing so may send odd data back to the tracker. I'm not worried about not getting credit for a few hundred meg... what I am worried about is being accused of cheating because of oddness in my data. Thanks
Firon
Shouldn't make a difference. And if you're using 1.7.2, it should be able to detect that the resume data is hosed and use the old copy.
macoute
Cool - thanksI'm using 1.7.2. - often both the .dat and .old file are corrupted after a system crash :\So long as my work around is good I'm happy.
