sam2539
When I check to see if my Port is open and I get the message below. I do not know how to get the information into Peer Guardian 2 as suggested, can anyone help.Welcome to the µTorrent Port Checker.A test will be performed on your computer to check if the specified port is opened.Checking port 54000 on 220.233.**.***...Error! Port 54000 does not appear to be open. Please see www.portforward.com for more information about how to map a port. Please make absolutely sure that PeerGuardian2 or Protowall is allowing utorrent.com (72.20.34.145) in either of those programs. Those of you using ipfilter.dat should make sure the list does not include the website's IP. After making sure of this, re-run this test by refreshing the page (F5). chiefs
Create a file with this in notepad:mine:72.20.34.145-72.20.34.146utorrentSave it as allow.p2p (save as box should be set to 'all files')Go into peerguardian, list manger, click on add list- and point it to this file and chose 'allow' for type, give it a name, peerguardian will generate a cache list. Port should show as open now- or at least peerguardian should not be blocking it now.
funchords
Look for mention of the block on the PeerGuardian2 screen. It will have that IP address.Right click on it, and choose "Allow Permanently."

Blackclubber
Thanks chiefs Member! It worked a charm. PG was blocking utorrent from connecting with my router. I was looking for a whitelisting function on PG but there didnt seem to be one. Now thanks to your solution things are working perfectly...
