juanymerja
Hi, I'm in Finland using a GlobeSurfer icon (HSDPA wireless) to connect to the internet. uTorrent is always showing the "Listen error: You should change your listen port." And when I do the uTorrent Port Checker Test, I receive this message: "Port 11xxx does not appear to be open." I contacted the ISP and they told me that the service fully support all the TCP and UDP ports. Then I tried using another PC, and they were right, it worked all fine with the other PC. So I guest the problem is in my pc. I have no firewall enabled (including window's which is disable as well). I have also disable the avast antivirus with no results. Does somebody can help me with this? Thanks a lot, juanymerja
Ultima
Fully supports TCP/UDP doesn't mean you can actually forward the ports. And you can't forward the ports with wireless services.
juanymerja
Ultima, the ISP told me that I don't need to forward the ports with this kind of modem (GlobeSurfer iCon). And as I told you, I tried with another PC and it worked out perfectly. no "listen error". Any idea what is causing this problem in my pc?Thanks
Firon
Did you move the adapter, or are both PCs behind a router, or something?
Switeck
Does your antivirus/antispyware software also contain software firewalls?
juanymerja
I connected my friend's pc to the Globe Trotter 3G+ device and then I used uTorrent and there were not listening errors or red flag, the network was working properly. (you can connect only one pc at a time)I have only spybot and avast antivirus.
Switeck
Then you probably have something obscure in avast antivirus that needs to be configured to not block internet packets.
