sham
µtorrent Memory Leak Once Connectable I have been trying to solve this problem for months now. Everytime i get that Jolly Green Light to appear at the bottom of utorrent, the thing goes crazy. Memory starts increasing to ridiculous amounts, of course i am then forced to end the utorrent process through Windows Task Manager. I have done and tried many things, i hope someone can help me out here.utorrent 1.6/1.7 - Tried both versions with upnp and dht(?) options turned on and off.Ports - All ports are forwarded as they should be, like i said i DO actually get the Green Connectable Tick, but it goes nuts after that.Security - Bypassed the router with ZoneAlarms Security Suite and Nod32 switched off, probably not the best idea in the world, but i was desperate.Interfering Software - I went through the processes list in Windows Task Manager to rid of any extra bits and pieces (not related software) that weren't necessary for keeping windows and the network running.Java - Uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version of Java, and I don't even know if utorrent uses java.Different Client - Also using that other client (aka Cute Little Poisonous Frog) which has no problem being connectable and i guess it works ok too, but i really do prefer utorrent.Nvidia Firewall - I don't use Nvidia firewall, but being so desperate at this point i even tried closing a program assiciated with my Nvidia Graphics Card (lol) called "nvsvc32.exe", of course this did nothing.Different Computer, Same Network - My laptop works perfectly with both utorrent 1.6 and 1.7 on the same network, only through wifi. If anything it maybe works too well. This laptop computer is also running Zone Alarms and Nod32.It's funny i'm having to use 1.6 now as i am able to make it NOT connectable, unlike with 1.7 where it didn't matter what settings i used, it would always be connectable and crash. Hahahaha! -i'm actually cryingI don't think i've forgotten to mention anything, errr... WinXP Service Pack 2 - not sure if you need to know that. If there is any other info you need just say the word. Aside from formatting and reinstalling windows, which i won't be doing too soon, i don't know what else to do. I bet it's something silly that's been staring me in the face since the begining, in which case i may need therapy after this.µtorrent Test - 21st August 2007Starts at 15Mb Mem UsageStar a torrentutorrent becomes connectableMemory has started rising (CPU Usage = 50)Stop rising at 730MbMemory is now falling (this is new) and has stopped at 414MbI did the test again and the results were no different, it also doesn't matter what torrent i start. I'm really tired with this problem and just want the nightmare to be over.Thank you for taking the time to read!

Firon
Zone Alarm is pretty problematic, so I suggest uninstalling it. NOD32's IMON should be disabled as well.
