Tried everything, can't get back to the "Green Circle"

Here's the story:

Was running fine with the "Green Circle" with avg DL speeds of 100-150KB/s (per torrent), and decided to upgrade the firmware in my router ( Linksys WRT54G v6 ) From Linksys's site. (Firmware Version: v1.02.2 )

Since I have done this, the "Green Circle" has been replaced with the "Orange Triangle". My average DL speed dropped to ~10-20 KB/s (per torrent). I went back into my router settings and tripple checked that the correct port was forwarded, and all my original settings were the same as before, and ofcourse, they were.

System Specs:

Windows XP Home SP2

Utorrent 1.7 Stable

Norton Anti-Virus 2007 (was never an issue with it and utor)

1.5 GB ram

3MB/s Down; 600KB/s up

Main page of router looks like:

Port Forward Settings:

Any and all help is appriciated, yes I read the linksys router issues sticky but none of the solutions were valid for my router version.

Thanks

Welcome to the µTorrent Port Checker.

Checking port 31494 on "My Ip Address"

Error! Port 31494 does not appear to be open.

Please see www.portforward.com for more information about how to map a port.

Windows firewall is set to allow utorrent, and even the specific port has an exception in WFW. I do not have any other firewalls running.

Edit: I have also Tried DMZ with the same result :(

Update!

So, I went through and changed from DHCP to a Static IP, in hopes that it would help my situation. As you can see, the internet is working just fine, and my upload speed in Utor is flying, however... my DL speed is sitting at the same as it was before, and I had the "green circle" when I started Utor. After about 30 seconds however it changed back to the "orange triangle" :(

Also, when I had the green circle and attempted to "Check if the port was forwarded correctly" and it was showing that it was not, resulting in the triangle.

The static IP address you pick needs to be outside of your router's DHCP range. The DHCP range starts at 192.168.1.100, and spans for 50 IP addresses (up to 192.168.1.149). So pick an IP outside of that.

You may want to disable UPnP port mapping in µTorrent, as I've heard of rare but odd conflicts of regular port forwarding having problems with UPnP also enabled for the same application. (µTorrent, in this case)

Although off-topic, you will probably see overall better results if your alternate upload rate while not downloading (while only seeding) is set no higher than 50 KiloBYTES/sec. It should definitely make web surfing less "laggy" while µTorrent is running.

Got it working.

After spending 4 hours on the phone making way too many phone calls to my ISP and Router support techies (isp support blows), I was able to run it.

Simple version: Make a Manual connection through "Make a new connection" in the "Network Connections" folder to my PPPoE isp with the correct login info, BUT with the incorrect password in the modem's Web GUI to start a bridged connection.

Goto router and changed settings to PPPoE and entered login info there, with port forwarding, etc.

Tada! It works.

Any specific questions, welcome to ask.

Thanks for the support guys.
