roningurl Posted November 25, 2005 Report Posted November 25, 2005 Torrent Error: The filename or extension is too long.It wont let me download the file. I just upgraded to v 1.2.2 and thats when it started on all torrents. I've never had this problem prior to 1.2.2. I'm rolling back to 1.2.1 for now.
klahey2000 Posted December 8, 2005 Report Posted December 8, 2005 I get the same error, except I am using v 1.2. I started getting it when I downloaded a torrent called [something] from [no links to trackers with illegal content, read the rules]. The message showed up almost immediately, but I could still restart the download after the error. Each time I changed a Priority setting for one of the files (there are a lot of files) I would get the error again.I restarted after the error and began downloading, but after a while the error started showing up without me changing the file settings. I think that most of the files can be downloaded without problems, but a few of them can not be. When one of the problem files have a piece downloaded then the error shows up and if I restart it it will run until someone attempts to upload that piece to me again... that is only a guess on what seems to be happening.
