Elowan
New to bittorrent et al. In the app windows I see an upload section and amount uploaded. What's being uploaded from my system whilst I'm downloading?
Determination
You are uploading parts of the file you are downloading to others. Peer 2 Peer, isn't it great?http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bittorrenthttp://www.utorrent.com/beginners-guide.php
Elowan
Ah so! I guess that's great. It surely 'great'ly increases the time it's taking.
Ultima
It doesn't increase the time it takes to download unless you've got bad settings. Just realize that P2P isn't just a regular file transferring protocol. It relies on other people's upload bandwidth, which often won't max your connection's download speed out.
