i am on a FAP, which stands for fair access plan. my download ratio in MB per day is 500. then i am being throttled back to dial up speed for 24 hrs. i experienced just that the other day. not at all fun! :-(

what i would like to see, maybe it already exists, is an option under the preferences.. to be able to pause a download automatically according to personal input.

for example: i would like to stop a download at 250MB so that i may continue the speed i am paying for (ISP provider) the rest of the day.

is that doable?

Sure, it's doable if the devs wanted to do it, but the request has already been rejected before.

Nothing of the sort; IIRC, it was simply deemed to be outside the scope of a BitTorrent client.

oh ok, mia culpa for deduction. but still was worth checking into. perhaps one of these days it will become a front burner issue. sure would help us folks living in the world of no DSL quite a bit. but no arguing with the developers coming from my end. thanks for such a great service anyway. cheers :*)

You can use Scheduler to limit speeds at time of day if your FAP at least includes "off peak" rates separate from the rest of the day limits.
