Torrents dont resume dwnloading if net conection is lost & reconnectd

Torrents dont resume dwnloading normally even if the net conection is lost & reconnectd within a minute. Please correct me if im wrong but I thought if 'uTorrent' is running & if the net connection is lost for even a minute & thn if the net stabilizes again the torrents should start downloading normally, however this dosnt happen. Each time I have to exit the application & then restart it for the torrents to resume downloading normally.
