Lftdave
I would have posted this in the DHT topic, but it was locked. Anyway, my problem is that when I start uTorrent, the application freezes up. It only freezes up after the green check mark has appeared, though. And when I disable DHT it runs fine until I add a torrent. At which point it freezes again. I had a similar problem with Azureus, but that started after I had used it without problems for months. This leads me to believe that it's a problem with my system, but I can't figure it out. Any ideas? Also: I'm running Windows Vista, and using the integrated Firewall. (I couldn't get my usual one to work on this new machine.)
funchords
DHT uses UDP to communicate, and communicates out and in the same port as you've designated in preferences.First thing I'd to ... reboot the computer. If the problem is still present, then I would do a netsh TCP reset and Winsock catalog reset. This will remove any shims that software programs sometimes install to monitor/manipulate network operations. The procedures for these are pretty easy to find on Google. Reboot when done. Lftdave
All right! The reset winsock catalog worked and I am rolling. Thanks a bunch!
