TetsuoTW
Hi all. Just wondering if anyone can explain why µTorrent seems to have a habit of downloading pieces of files I've told it to skip? This is screwing up my ratio on private trackers, 'cause all I want to do is seed the things, not download extra files I didn't want in the first place. Does anyone know how to stop it doing this, and why it does it in the first place?
Switeck
Pieces of a torrent can overlap 2 files in the torrent. That's probably what it's getting to make sure the entire piece isn't corrupted.
TetsuoTW
Aha, that makes sense. I hadn't checked, but looking at the pieces that were downloaded, they're always either at the end of a file before the one I wanted, or the beginning of the one after it. Thanks for the help!
