medwardl
after being required to use this program to access a torrent i like i decided to give it a try after much reluctance. it seems my reluctance was well deserving it only took 2 hours to configure utorrent to work even after using many so called guides it took much tinkering to get it working and even now it doesn't always work the way it should and i do know what I'm doing with this. with the program i usually use azureus all i have to do is bind the ip set a port and add the entry to my router this was a royal monstrous pain in my ass. medwardl
just venting, I'm not too annoyed anymore although it could be a simpler process to get it working.
Ultima
1) Run the Speed Guide2) Preferences > Advanced > net.bind_ipDunno, but I'm not really sure why it'd take 2 hours to do this... Even if it took time to find net.bind_ip, a bit of exploration in the program would of taken at most 10 minutes. Port forwarding is unrelated to setting µTorrent itself up. vdub2
Please inform me on how you got it working. I'm having the toughest time after the update. I have opened a new port through my router (although the speed test says it is not opened) and still cannot use Ut. I'll pay someone $10 to walk me through a fix! Please HELP! Switeck
Your modem may also be a mini-router or contain a firewall that ALSO needs to be configured or disabled.Antivirus sofware and even viruses/trojans can cause firewalled conditions on µTorrent.
