boo Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 I suddenly got an error message I never got before with µTorrent ="Tracker Status: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it."I made few searches but all they talk about is its a firewall or router problem. I have no router and I have never had any problem with my firewall before either.Does the message mean that either I or µTorrent is banned or is it just an tracker error???
marc2000 Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 This happend to me while a tracker was down. So it's possible that this is your problem.
1c3d0g Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 Yeah, happens to me all the time with some trackers...DHT kicks in and usually after a while the tracker recovers and everything's back to smooth sailing.
QauNuckShin Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 Connection refused is a common error message. It means that the target computer (the server) didn't accept your connection attempt. The reason for not accepting is usually that the server application is not running. The same thing will happen if you try to go to a website, but their Apache web server has crashed.
magnus33 Posted November 28, 2005 Report Posted November 28, 2005 Problem is the that utorrent seems to be causeing it more often then the tracker. There is a issue going on here to be sure since its rather going beyond the odds that three clients can conect at the sametime but utorrent doesn't.This can be repeated over and over so there is a issue on utorrents side.
