poorbiker
When checking on the port, I get the error that the port doesn't appear to be open. I know I'm not the sharpest crayon in the box, so I called D-Link and asked for their assistance. Need I really expound on how that call went? I followed the little bit of advice they gave me, but when in the router's setup mode, I was at a loss when it asked for a TCP and UDP port numbers. In uTorrent, I only received that port 30578 wasn't open.Router = D-Link DIR 655OS= Vista homeWhen D/L'ing, I get between 1< and 10 kpsDSL connection 1.5 Mips
ordinator2008
not an expert here, but did you forward the same port number on your router as the port number you mentioned you have utorrent set to. i have a D-link router as well and the guide at www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/D-Link (then select your model) worked for me. poorbiker
I had someone over here who is a bit more knowledgeable than me. I was told that both the router (D-Link DIR 655) and the modem (Westell E90-610014) have built in firewalls. Yes, I'm using the port indicated in Utorrent, and No, still don't have it configured yet. CVille
I have used port forward and forwarded all my ports correctly. It is still showing the yellow ! icon. It is also telling me that the port isn't forwarded properly. Before I completely rebooted everything on my system it was fine. I also had the older version of uTorrent. right before the last update. I am running windows xp sp2, Linksys WRTg54v5 router and have a 10 meg connection. My average sped is always well over a 100 and maxes out in the 300 sometimes. I can't seem to get over 30 to 60 now though. The actual status arrows are the correct color though for uploading and downloading. Also when I run the test it is giving this as my IP Checking port 37721 on 24.159.**.**Error! Port 37721 does not appear to be open. This is not the IP I set up and can only think it is my routers. Anyone know what is going on?
