I have used the utorrent port forwarding advice, made the static IP and followed the instructions. I have added utorrent to the exceptions for pc cillin but my port still isnt open. Im using vista and have a linksys router. WRT54G. Just cant get rid of that yellow icon and have slow downloads

What can i do to fix it?

When checking on the port, I get the error that the port doesn't appear to be open. I know I'm not the sharpest crayon in the box, so I called D-Link and asked for their assistance. Need I really expound on how that call went? I followed the little bit of advice they gave me, but when in the router's setup mode, I was at a loss when it asked for a TCP and UDP port numbers. In uTorrent, I only received that port 30578 wasn't open.

Router = D-Link DIR 655

OS= Vista home

When D/L'ing, I get between 1< and 10 kps

DSL connection 1.5 Mips

I have used port forward and forwarded all my ports correctly. It is still showing the yellow ! icon. It is also telling me that the port isn't forwarded properly. Before I completely rebooted everything on my system it was fine. I also had the older version of uTorrent. right before the last update. I am running windows xp sp2, Linksys WRTg54v5 router and have a 10 meg connection. My average sped is always well over a 100 and maxes out in the 300 sometimes. I can't seem to get over 30 to 60 now though. The actual status arrows are the correct color though for uploading and downloading. Also when I run the test it is giving this as my IP

Checking port 37721 on 24.159.**.**

Error! Port 37721 does not appear to be open.

This is not the IP I set up and can only think it is my routers. Anyone know what is going on?
