msmithers27 Posted September 28, 2007 Report Share Posted September 28, 2007 Ok my downloading process is complete and im a newbie to utorrent so im not sure if i have to keep seeding when it is complete. The file is 4 gb but im only done 1.2gb after %100 downloading. Does that mean i need to keep seeding to get all of it? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
torrero Posted September 28, 2007 Report Share Posted September 28, 2007 Simply check your "ratio" column. if its 1.000, it means you downloaded exactly as much as you uploaded (=fair).If its 0.335 e.g. you should leave it still running for a while and upload to the peers who are still downloading (to finish the torrent).Sometimes its nearly impossible to get a ratio of 1.000 because of too many seeders, or the file being just 100kb big. Then you can leave earlier.Its more important to help seeding "dying" torrents, which only have a few seeders left and still many peers downloading.
