Hash check after system crash ? Not with Bitcomet !

µTorrent started hash checking my > 7 GB download becuase my system crash interrupted it. This system crashes a lot and Bitcomet never used to do that, yet I've never had a corrupt download from Bitcomet. Do you really need to do this Hash check ?

Regards to all the good effort here

I think what Animorc is saying (I'm not sure if this is correct) is that µT only updates resume.dat (the file that allows you to continue a download without forcing a re-hash) when the program is closed. I assume that BC updates it periodically, ie. once every 10min or so.

Maybe this could go into a feature request for µT?

Anyway, tobassam, I would say that when your system crashes it is definitely a good idea to force a re-hash anyway, since that is when corruption is most likely to occur.

Make sure your computer isn't crashing? :/ Crashing can be caused by a number of things...poor airflow, failing hardware, corrupted drivers, outdated BIOS etc. etc. etc. Fix your crashes first before blaming µTorrent, 'cause a PC that crashes often isn't good for any program... :|
