Did you make sure to only use the spyware-free version of Limewire?

(AKA: Frostwire)

Limewire in at least some versions may be leaving spyware or adware behind even when you uninstall the main Limewire program.

it seems that more then one has the same problem I do have it and the funny part there is no good respond form the creator of the software !!!!!

This happens after installing the 1.7.5 on vista mashine !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Creator: if you din't give a sh...just tell us so at least I can move on to a different programm instead wasting my time trying to find an answer. that is not going to be naswered since the are already unanswered thread here!

What's the measured speed of your connection, both Down AND UP?

(Your ISP may not be giving you what it claims!)

What settings are you using, as shown by Speed Guide (CTRL+G)?

(Speed Guide wants to know your max UPLOAD speed, not download!)

Have you changed any of µTorrent's advanced settings?

(Some settings changes can crash µTorrent and possibly even your computer as well!)

Have you tried the troubleshooting guide?:

http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=15992

(LOTS of things to try that may completely fix your problems!)

Even extreme settings in µTorrent can cause a crash, though even then it usually requires a weakness in that computer's networking hardware (router, modem, network card) or software (network drivers, software firewall, viruses/trojans).

If you can't get DHT to work, it's either your firewall, your router, or your ISP. It's been thoroughly tested on Vista machines (WITHOUT lame firewalls) and it works fine.

wel i think this has something to do with the limewire. after i updated that this shit happend. but dont know how to fix it

I had exactly same problem with same situation...I reinstall the vista and then problem started so I was thinking "what changes did I make?" and then changing the anti-virus program suddenly strikes me.....I uninstalled the anti-virus program but I think there wus some left over in my hard drive it was kept on blocking my utorrent connection so I had to format my hard drive and then voila~ whoohooooooooo my utorrent starts working perfectly~~ so my case was freeware scam....I will never download that software again...greedy bastards....anyways, If you guys having problem with DHT and it had been work before then it's probably your freeware leftover in your hard drive so just format the hard drive and then reinstall the Windows =) UTORRENT ROCKS!!!!!!!
