ghost14201 Posted October 3, 2007 Report Share Posted October 3, 2007 my utorrent isn't working right I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no luck is the server having troubles today? my internet is working fine everywhere else but utorrent any ideas? Switeck Posted October 3, 2007 Report Share Posted October 3, 2007 "is the server having troubles today?"WHAT server?µTorrent is a stand-alone application, the only "sever" it might connect with besides the trackers which have nothing to do with µTorrent...is the DHT server where it tries to get a list of DHT-running ips. However it can even get DHT ips from peers/seeds on a torrent it's already connected to. I personally have DHT disabled, so for me that's not even an issue.DHT is NOT needed to run µTorrent...and many trackers ban the use of DHT.Your ISP may be throttling BitTorrent traffic.Have you tested known FAST torrent files (such as OpenOffice)?Try this Troubleshooting Guide for more ideas:http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=15992 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
