only126db
I generally get low download speeds, but I tried the office.org download as suggested here:http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=15992and my download peaked at around 95! Why do other torrents with 200 or so peers and a 10 availability run so slow like at 5-9?
2good2b
SOME torrents are just slow. But OpenOffice has so many willing and high seeders who are keen to share with you that you don't get any peer request for uploads.Find out what your UPLOAD speed in a speed test is and then press CTRL+G in utorrent to open the speed guide. Pick the speed that is about 80% lower than your test results in the UPLOAD speed test and accept the suggested settings of the speed guide. Never go higher in the upload - that chokes your connection dramatically.
