2good2b
interesting.make sure you pick a test server close to your location. and if that still reports far lower speeds than 2 months ago you need to talk to your ISP. what's your rate supposed to be? Don Genero
Hello gadwin19,This same issue with upload speeds started happening to me a few weeks ago and the way I was able to resolve it was by restarting my PC. I tried power cycling my DSL modem and flushing my DNS cache without success. I've yet to figure out what the culpret is; perhaps AT&T (the owner of my DSL infrastructure) is up to something. I'm looking for a way to correct this issue without restarting my PC and hopefully someone will know how on this forum.
wyrmchild
Flushing DNS cache will never give you a speed boost in anything.
Don Genero
@wyrmchildYeah right! Thanks for you keen insight! I've yet to figure what is being flushed or cleared out when I restart my PC enabling me to achieve 100% upload speeds again and this problem only started a few weeks ago and I've had the same PC, OS (Vista), DSL modem, router bittorrent client for months.... Switeck
Try setting Net.max_halfopen to 1-4.1 is the most extreme value, so try it first and see if it helps.
