jusama14
Hey, I have a pretty nice internet connection but when I try to upload..it jumps to like 250KB/s for about 2 minutes and goes down to 40KB/s and it hasn't gone above that.If I restart utorrent it'll do the same thing, stay around 250KB/S for a while and go back down to 40KB/sHere is an image to my speedtest: http://www.speedtest.net/result/191559645.png
Invy
The speed test looks fine. Maybe the peers you are uploading to just aint taking full use of your upload. Try seeding a bunch of torrents with peers and see if it changes any.
kurahashi
Isn't this a typical case of Comcast's upload speedboost?
jusama14
Invy, I tried that it totals out to be about 40KB/s, but if I restart utorrent it does the same thing.Kurahashi, I guess it is. Is there something wrong with it?
Switeck
Sounds like SpeedBoost is working as designed. You really only have xx/384k continuous upload bandwidth...the occasional burst faster than that doesn't really count and can't be easily used in µTorrent.I have to manually set the upload speed to unlimited for a minute or 2, then reset the upload speed to 40-42 KiloBYTES/sec to get any use out of SpeedBoost. I can only do this about once per hour...or speeds DROP instead of climb whenever I set the upload speed to unlimited!
jusama14
Oh so how do we know when we get the burst? And how long does is it supposed to last for?
Switeck
What I said...you just have to test it.
